When you say ‘head’, however, do you mean the neocortex?
Plato's chariot metaphor for the mind nicely illustrates the forces at battle.
I think the head just thinks/wishes it had control - or ruled…
Maybe its just a tall tale we tell ourselves to keep from going crazy.
Perhaps we don’t trust our gut instincts enough anymore.
